Doctrinal Statement

  1. We believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are  verbally inspired by God and are therefore inerrant in the original writings. II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:19-21.

  2. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Exodus 20:1-3; John 16:12-15; Matthew 28:19

  3. We believe in the deity and the humanity Christ. Jesus Christ was born of the Virgin Mary by the power of the Holy Spirit and that Jesus is truly God and truly man. John 20:28; Matthew1:18-25; Philippians 2:5-8

  4. We believe that the Holy Spirit's ministry is to glorify Christ, to convince sinners of their need of Christ and to empower believers to live in victory and to minister effectively. John 16:8; Acts 1:8

  5. We believe in the reality and personality of Satan. Isaiah 14:12-15; Ezekiel 28:11-19; Rev. 12:4, 20:10

  6. We believe that man was created by God in His image, but that through the Fall of Adam all participated and therefore all are sinners. Being a sinner, man is under the judgment of God and totally unable to save himself. Romans 5:12

  7. We believe that salvation is based on the finished work of Christ on the cross in which He bore our sins and died as our substitute. Salvation is received, not by our works, but by faith alone in Christ and His atoning death. Acts 4:12

  8. We believe that all believers are safe and secure in Christ forever. John 10:28, 29

  9. We believe in a literal hell where unbelievers will be eternally lost and tormented. We believe in a literal heaven where the redeemed will live with God forever. Psalms 103:19, 113:5; Isaiah 66:1; Rev. 21:1-7

  10. We believe in the resurrection. Believers will be resurrected at the first resurrection to life eternal. Unbelievers will be resurrected at the second resurrection to eternal damnation. II Thess. 1:7-8; John 5:29

  11. We believe in the imminent, personal pre-tribulational return of Christ. We believe in the pre-millennial return of Christ to the earth to establish His kingdom on earth. Titus 2:13; I Thess. 4:13-18; I Cor. 15:51-58; II Thess. 2:1-13; Rev. 19:11-16, 20:1-6

  12. We believe in the body of Christ and the local church. Ephesians 5:23

  13. We believe in two ordinances. One is the Lord's Supper as a memorial and the other is believer's baptism by immersion. Matthew 28:19-20; I Corinthians 11:23-30
